The Twelfth Hour....

This is Memorial Box Monday.  My sweet friend Linny started it as a way to remember all of the miracles God has done for their family.  They have quite the treasure box full now.  As I was reading over the post below, my faith was encouraged, and that is the point.  Remembering all of the things God has done for us boosts our faith.  If you want to read more about Linny and her Memorial Box Stories, click here.  Memorial Box Monday is the time we set aside to remember.  To remember all the ways God has shown up for us.  He is always faithful.  Happy Reading... 

God is never late.  Not one minute.  That's something that is so completely evident when it comes to the adoption process.  He told us to step out in faith and trust Him.  He told us that He would provide every penny that we will need for this adoption.  And here we are, watching this beautiful miracle happen. 

On the 26th of August, our precious baby girl was born weighing a whopping 5lbs 4oz and 19.8in long.  She's beautiful, tiny, and has the biggest eyes I've ever seen on such a small little angel.  She has the most precious little lips and I just want to kiss them!  I have yet to see her baby toes, but I'm sure I'll want to kiss them too.  Oh, and what I wouldn't give to smell the top of her head.  Don't you just love the baby smell?!  She's just a cute little sugar lump with a mass of dark hair!  I can't wait to get my hands on her!  Until then, I will dream of all the pretty hairbows I get to put in her hair:O)

We found out on the afternoon of August 25th that our girl was born.  It was the 26th in Taiwan.  At that moment, we had raised a total of $3800 dollars towards our adoption.  That night Warren and I prayed together.  We had no idea how we were going to find the rest of the funds, but we knew that God had promised and we were thanking Him for bringing it in by the time we needed it.  We knew we had five days to send in our referral fee.  We also knew that God could do anything in five days.  I wasn't stressed, but Warren was.  I appreciate how hard he works to provide for us, and I'm so thankful that he takes his job seriously.  But this was a God-thing, and we are just along for the ride.

The next morning I received our official welcome/referral packet.  It stated that our first installment was to be $6520, not the $5000 or so that we were expecting.  Before you get upset, it was our misunderstanding.  We had the fees backwards.  The $5050 is due at the final decree.

Anyway...at that point I started to breathe a little harder.  I was on the phone with my friend and she asked if we had heard anything about our income t*x yet?  Like many adoptive families, we were audited this year for the portion of our t*xes that covered our adoption t*x credit.  So we've been waiting on our refund...and waiting...and waiting.  We finally received a letter that said they would have an answer for us by the 27th of August.  I received this letter before we started the adoption process.  My friend suggested I check my bank account just to see if it came in, even though they said they would have an answer, not a refund.  I checked and guess what I found....yep, my income t*x return.  Can you believe it!!!!  I did the biggest, loudest happy dance of my entire life!!!  I was bawling, and shouting; God is Good, He is soooo Good!!!!  You are Amazing God!!!

He knew back in March that we were going to adopt.  He allowed us to be audited, knowing we would need that money to help pay for fees.  He orchestrated our little angel's birth to perfectly coincide with our t*x return.  Not only did He provide, He planned it all perfectly....to His glory!!!!

We received exactly what we needed to pay for this part of the journey, including the visa process for our daughter, and all of the authentication fees, and all of the FedEx fees!!

How Great is our God!!!  He loves us so very much, and He promises to set the lonely in families!!!  He is never, never, never late.  He's the God of the twelfth hour.  He provided exactly what we needed, exactly when we needed it.  Not one minute early, and not one minute late!!  Praise His Holy Name, for He is worthy of all of our praises.
