Celtic's Won! and other ramblings...

The guys are so happy that the Celtic's won!! Left to right(Darrin, Warren, Rob, Ethan) Look at all our bald-headed men!! BBC's(bald by choice:O) LOL!!
The Pike's: Teresa, Jasmine and Winston
The Sipes: Donalee, Ethan and Rob

Well, I think it's about time for an update. I haven't written all that much lately because we haven't been doing all that much, ughhhh!!!

This past week and a half, two families from our agency have arrived and we've been hanging out with them. Rob and Donalee will be heading out on Friday with their new son Ethan(good name huh?!) and Winston and Teresa are here bonding with their new daughter. They are already half way through the process. It amazes me at the change in the children in so little time. They really have only spent 5 days total with their new daughter and she has changed by leaps and bounds!!

Friday we will begin the bonding process with our daughter and we can't wait!!!! It's about time to get this show on the road! We won't be able to talk that much about it, at least not in great detail until we take her into custody somewhere in the middle of July, so bear with us. We could really use your prayers though.

We are seriously praying that the judge will consider our situation with coming and them not having any children for us once again. We are also hoping and praying that he will see that we are committed to adopting our daughter because of the time that we have stayed here waiting. With these things combined, we are going to ask that he waive the 15 day waiting period after court. During this time we will be able to see our daughter but not take her into custody. They also won't file for her passport and visa until these 15 days are over which makes the time in country after court another month long!!!! Please be praying with us that the judge will show us favor and waive those waiting days. As it stands, I will be missing my sister-in-law's wedding if I have to stay here that long, and that makes me so sad.....If they will waive these days, I can be home by the end of July. This almost NEVER happens, so we need a miracle. I know that God is into those kinds of things, so if He has that plan, please pray with me that everything will come together in His timing. If not, I need major prayer for grace!!!

I'm starting to get really homesick for my boys!!! It's really hot here right now, which makes it hard for me to be content with my circumstances...I hate the heat!!!!! Anything above 85 degrees and I'm dying!! We've got that beat by about 20 degrees at least!!! And we ain't seen nothin yet!!!!!!! I get weepy just thinking about Warren going back home and leaving me here for who knows how long!! Enough whining!!!

So, we have had so much fun with the other couples here!! We've found a couple of new restaurants and we can actually order food!! It gets kind of funny when we start motioning about what it is we want and how much. I sure wish we could tell them to go easy on the oil! So much for losing a couple of pounds, what the heat takes off the oil puts back on!!!! Oh well. I keep thinking I'm going to melt away, but no worries, it's never going to happen:O) LOL!!! Warren may melt away though, Lucky Dog!!!! His shorts are going to start falling off of him soon!!!

Here's a few pictures of our new friends. I'll make sure that I take them of the complete families before it's over with. The one of the three guys is right after the Celtic's won the NBA championship. They were all so happy!!!! The guy on the right is Rob. He is holding Ethan, their new son:O) YAAAYYYY!! Of course the one in the middle is Warren and the one on the right is Darrin. He and his family live and work here in Shymkent. Thank you Darrin and Erin for inviting us over and treating us like family!! We love you guys and will always consider you family too:O) They fed us biscuits and gravy, eggs and fruit salad. They even had real coffee with foo foo creamer!!! I wouldn't have been able to have any if they didn't have air condition. It's way too hot to drink hot things!!! Of course, to be able to see the game, we had to get up at 6:30 this morning to catch the bus at 7am. The game had already started when we got there. Warren would have gotten up much earlier if he'd had to so he could watch that game. LA was slaughtered!!!!!! It was awesome!!! No hate mail from all you LA fans out there :O)

Thank you all for praying for us. I can't even begin to tell you how hard this would be without all of you praying. I know I whine a little, but really, it would be much worse if you weren't praying for us to be able to hang in there. It's not that bad here, and we really like the city before 7am and after 9pm. It's too hot out there in between those times!! No really, we enjoy it here when we go out. Ok, I'll talk some more on another post. I need to do this more often anyway. We love and miss all of you back home!!!!!

Lots of Love,
Warren and Jenn

Wow, sounds like you are hanging in there. Sweet times are ahead with you little girl and I bet it will ease some of the waiting pain...most of the time! I will pray for that miracle with the 15 day waiting period. My husband had to leave me and my son because of our extended stay and it was hard but he was losing so much weight and feeling so badly that I felt better just knowing that he was at home taking care of things. It was like at least part of me was at home! Thoughts are with you! karen

Dear Jenn and Warren: oh, thank you so much for the update!! I check every day to see how you are doing with the waiting...waiting...waiting. Would love to be in contact w/Darrin and Erin, if possible...my days in Shymkent were awful all alone!! Here's praying for a merciful Judge...who will waive the appeal period, and perhaps, a quick court date, too...Love (and misting cool air!) to all of you! Love, Karla
