Above are some pictures of our most recent field trip with our friends Jamin, Jonah, Linet and Barb. We went to Hood Canal to go clamming. Thank you Brady's for letting us clam at your beach!!! They had so much fun and could have stayed out there all day. Unfortunately for them, Alea had to take a nap. We still had a blast and had so much fun finding starfish, eels, oysters, clams and snails, among other things that I can't even name:O)
We are welcoming spring around here, and are so thankful for any little bits of sunshine that we get! I pulled out my sunglasses again and had to go and find Alea's. I didn't think that she would keep them on, but she now has a new accessory love. She loves her necklaces and her babies and her hairbows, but now it is all about the sunglasses:O) The only problem is...when she takes them off, she can't put them on, which results in lots of screaming until someone rescues her and puts them back on. Isn't she adorable!! She runs around to show everyone her glasses when she has them on. She also kept kissing her daddy and trying to get him to put them on.
We are coming up on our one year post-placement report time and really can't believe that time has gone so fast. Didn't we just get home with Alea??? Wasn't it just the other day that I was losing my mind wondering when we would finally travel to meet our sweet angel???
I'm so glad that that is all over as we look forward to our first summer together as a family. We are in the process of planning activities for the summer and a family vacation. The boys can't wait for school to be over, and I can't blame them. It gets harder and harder to do their work when the sun is shining so bright. Soon it will be warm enough for them to do their work out on the deck or in the yard. They are working hard to finish all of their books before the end of May. We'll see....I think they may have a little math left, but that will be it.
We've been bombarded with baseball practices and games. Between both of the boys and our small activities, we have one night a week free. We keep telling ourselves that this is just a season and it will be over soon. Meanwhile, the boys are doing great in baseball, and Caleb is learning how to be a pitcher. He's got a strong arm and is getting more and more consistent each time he gets to pitch. Ethan got to play short-stop on Saturday and loved it. Tonight he has a game and we'll see where he plays this time.
